Have the charge removed from your record.....This depends upon the laws of your state,the extent of the crime and your criminal history(if any)....

Many states will allow you to have a misdemeanor (petty) theft charge exponged(removed) from your record after a period of time has passed...

This is can be done by filling out the proper forms and paying the fees to the court in the state which the offense occured,A judge will then decide if the charge can be removed based on your prior/current history ect ect..

Also you could apply to companies that do not perform criminal background checks....
