How do you make iron ore on Minecraft?

To get iron ingots, first make a pickax, then go digging. try to find iron ore, which has a tan colour on top of the regular stone. Mine it, then go back to your furnace and smelt/cook it into an iron ingot.

Get some iron ore - This is blocks that look like cobblestone (greyish) but will have little bits of bronze in them. Mine them with a stone pick axe and you will collect some iron ore. Next go chop down some wood from any tree nearby. Then go to a furnace and put the iron ore in the top slot then wood at the bottom and you will have an iron ingot.

You don't 'craft' them as such, Iron Ingots are what you get when you smelt Iron Ore in a Furnace.
