How can you cover up blemishes?

the best of all is consult a dermatologists, not only putting foundations etc.In that way your problem about pimples makes worse, so it is better to consult a dermatologist to be 100% sure. No foundation, just a flawless and beautiful face.

but, if you want to temporarely get rid of it while waiting for your dermatoligist, i suggest using mineral foundation. The minerals in it is better for your skin and wont clog your pours as much. get a foundation that is one shade lighter than your natural skin tone, it blends in better. :-)

Mineral foundation is the worst to cover pimples. Mineral foundation is primarily mica powder. Mica powder has a slight shimmer to it. With that being said, it reflects light and will make your blemishes/bumps more noticeable. Any foundation you choose should match your skin tone perfectly. Going too light or too dark will look unnatural. To cover pimples, use a green concealer to neutralize the redness. Pat it with you finger to blend it out. Then go over it with a concealer. Again pat it with your finger to blend it. If you rub it in, you're just removing what you've just applied. Go over this with your favorite foundation and lightly dust with a translucent setting powder.

Be sure to remove your makeup every night. I always wash my face twice at night. The first time removes the makeup and the second time really cleanses the skin. Also exfoliate at least twice a week and use a mud mask at least once a week.

you can buy a green color corrector and apply that over red pimples. Then apply a liquid foundation, blotting over the corrector. This will reduce the appearance of redness. If the pimples are not red then you can apply cover up to a make up sponge and blot over the pimples.

alls you do is you get a coverup that doesn't have any oil in it,or you can also find coverup that helps acne go away.but first you get a makeup spung and you dab a little of the liquid coverup onto your sponge.then you dab the spots that have acne until you can't see the coverup on your face and until the acne is mostly covered.then you get a powder and you poor some of the powder into the lid or wherever and you get a makeup brush dab it into the powder and brush it all over your face.i hope this helped.

^^^^ this was from the previous person and it annoys me cuz its not helpful once you have ALREADY popped a zit. lol so here is MY answer: if you have a while to reduce redness//swelling: ice cube. it works if you hold it on. **another tip...of you have unpopped zits....lemon juice dries them faster, which is a part of healing them covering up right before you leave your house: get green based consealer because green cancels out red (color wheel. art class. lol) so put a little dab on and then put on your normal concealer/foundation/etc. ** i know you want to buy cheaper priced make-up, but it just causes frustration. not that you need MAC, but dont get like wal-mart brand or anything. it will not do much.

Before you go to bed rub some sudocrem on to the affected area. Follow these steps to use makeup and cover up your acne.

1)apply moisturiser to your face and kneck then add a primer to the most oily areas of your face.

2)then apply a base coat of foundation a fairly light one about 1shade lighter than your skin tone,apply with fingers for best results.

3)then using a none oily concealer stick place concealer over the affected area then using your normal foundation blend the concealer in,using circular motions,don't press to hard over the concealer or you'll make them look like rice krispies

4)after blending it in,put a layer of loose powder over your face to seal it in then you can do whatever you want with your eyes and cheeks

I had a really bad case of acne and I went to the doctors and they prescriped differin cream which worked but then I started using sudocrem and that cleared it right up.

Apply the liquid heavily or lightly(depending on the amount of acne ) then apply the powder over it heavily or lightly(depending on the amount of acne )
