You can do the pH test and if it is 7 it should be water but something might have dissolved in it.

So boil it at 100 degrees C and freeze it at 0 degrees C and if nothing is dissolved in it that should work.

collect a sample of the liquid and boil it, see what temperature it boils at, is it boils at 100 degrees then it is water.
