the kingdom of Castella (Spain) but there was a french knight that the king of Castella send to castella to help in the war against the moors and that knight D.Henrique had a great performance so the king gave him the county of Portu Cale and his daughter D. Teresa to marry and he said that every lands he conquer to the moors he can add to his county. D. Henrique Conquer many lands and he asked for independence but the king didn't gave him . Portugal's independence was got in 1143 with the Tratado de Zamora (Treaty of Zamora).
