Edward rescues Bella from the bad vampire James who bites her and then he saves her by 'sucking' out the venom from the bite and therefore saving her. Once Bella has recovered but still has her leg in a cast, Edward takes her to the school prom were they dance together. Happy endings Hooray :D of =]

In "New Moon," the main conflict involving Bella's reaction to Edward leaving was resolved through Bella forming a deep friendship with Jacob Black. Jacob helped Bella heal and provided her with support and companionship during Edward's absence. The conflict was ultimately resolved when Edward returned and they were able to reconcile and find a way to move forward together.
