All English theaters were affected because the more the people got the plague, the less they could come to the shows and the actors/actresses could get no money. Also if the actors/actresses got the plague thmselves then they would ruin all of the theater.

The plague affected a number of human interactions, particularly in regards to travel and public gatherings. One of the most popular past times of the era was attending the theater. However, during each outbreak of the plague, the theaters were shut down. Shutdowns occurred in 1593 , 1603 and 1608.

In Shakespeare's day, the authorities closed the theatres when there was an outbreak of plague. As a result the theatre companies would go on tour of the country where there was no plague. Shakespeare himself turned from writing plays to writing narrative poems like Venus and Adonis which sold very well and made him a lot of money.

When there was a plague outbreak, the theatres were closed down, as it was thought that the disease spread more easily in crowds. When this happened, the actors had to find other ways of making money (as Shakespeare did in 1593 by publishing his erotic poem Venus and Adonis) or take their plays on a tour of rural centres (as the Lord Chamberlain's Men did in 1596).

The Black Plague affected so many people that the theaters closed. Actors and playwrights were dying and there weren't many people left who wanted to see a play.
