How were biblical years counted and are they the same as years today?

ANSWER: Originally, YES. But then the calender got changed and the sabbath changed from Saturday the last biblical day of the week for Sunday the roman day of worship to the sun. SO today no if ur not a Jew, the Biblical calendar and count of years are not the same. Because Jews count the years from when Moses was born. We count roughly (not acurate), from when Jesus was born.

A Second Adar (Adar Sheni or Veadar) - This intercalary month was added about every three years (seven times in nineteen years). This is always done in-between moths Adar and Nissan so the Lunar calendar will correspond to the Solar year.

There are two calendars that run simultaneously 6 months apart... The first month

Ethanim or (Tishri) then becomes the seventh month......

So the Jewish new year then also started in the seventh month. Spring rain and fall rain, the first and second coming in the same month. This would be physically impossible unless there were two calendars.

The (Above) Scripture does not tell in what month God gave The Sacred Calendar (refer below)

How do we know there was Another calendar in existence? in Exodus God tells them what month to start the new sacred calendar..

4 This day came ye out in the month Abib. KJV
