Gemini had two man crews and their objectives were to learn how to fly, navigate, rendezvous, and dock spacecraft while in orbit. In addition, they had to learn how to work outside of the spacecraft in zero gravity and discover the long term impacts of spending the amount of time in space it would require to go to the moon and back. All of these mission objectives built a knowledge base which then allowed the US to do all the things we needed to do in order to complete a mission to the moon
The Apollo program had three man crews and their objective was to take the collected knowledge of the Mercury and Gemini programs and fly to the moon and land there. Once there their objectives were to conduct scientific research about the origin and geological make up of the moon.

The Gemini Project lasted Between 1962 and 1966 and developed key techniques and equipment later used on the Apollo missions. Over the years 1965 and 1966, the Gemini Project sent a total of 16 Astronauts on 10 different missions into orbit.
The Gemini missions were designed to bridge the gap between the small Mercury mission and the much larger and more demanding Apollo moon missions. Gemini developed orbital rendezvous, navigation, guidance and docking techniques alongside testing various parts and components to be fitted to the future Apollo spacecraft. Gemini 12 was the last Gemini flight in 1966.
Mercury can only hold one person but Gemini can carry two
Apollo 11 and Gemini 8. He helped the mission Gemini 11, but I don't think he went on it.

Are you maybe referring to the Mercury and Gemini programs?
Apollo 11 and Gemini 8. He helped the mission Gemini 11, but I don't think he went on it.
No missions in the Gemini program landed on the moon. Only missions 11, 12, 14, 15, 16 & 17 in the Apollo program landed on the moon.
In fact the rockets were called Saturn, Apollo was the name of the missions. NASA used "classical" names to name their programmes from 1958 until the Space Shuttle missions started. The first manned missions were Mercury (the messenger of the Gods), the intermediate missions between Mercury and Apollo were called Gemini - named after the astrological sign of the twins as the Gemini missions had two astronauts per flight. Apollo was named by Abe Silverstein after the God of light and archery.
The question is not clear. is it Apollo 9 and 10. Or are you referring to the Mercury and Gemini mission.
Neil Armstrong flew in Gemini 8,Buzz aldin Gemini 12 and Michael Collins Gemini 10 The Gemini missions were all about making everything come together for athe moon landings for the Apollo program. After Apollo 11, they were deemed to be far too valuable to NASA to be sent back into space.
Gemini, Apollo, STS
The project Gemini was important because it prepared the Americans for the Apollo moon program. Many technologies developed for the Apollo missions were tested in space during the Gemini program. One of the highlights of the the Gemini project was the first EVA (extra-vehicular activity) performed by Ed White during the mission Gemini 4. (first EVA done by US)
