The wealthy of ancient Egypt lived good they would normally live in big fancy for back then houses and usually in the country away from all the noise. The slaves did lead very hard lifes if they were miners or something like that they would hurt and it would be bad. The poor lived in the city normally in these little apartment buildings that were stinky smelly and just gross something that i would never live in.
They used the sand from the desert instead of buying it. They molded the sand together to make the pyramids and temples.
Actually some scientists say that it would be impossible to build the pyramids, henze would take billions of years just for around 13,000,000 people.
The pyramids were created in order to protect the bodies of deceased pharaohs. Pyramids were built with the purpose of being able to withstand time and essentially last forever.
Many people believe that the slaves were the ones who built the pyramids, but that is only part true. Many of the peasant farmers helped build pyramids. They helped for about 3-4 months each year (the season when the Nile floods).
The pharaoh's families paid the costs

One of the places where a lot of the dead are buried are in the pyramids. This is the system the Egyptians used to bury their dead.

because the Egyptian gods were buried inside them - this is wrong The Pharohs were buried in the pyramids. The Pyramids were like a memorial to the dead Pharoh. Also, it was so the gods would find the pyramid so theycould carry then pharohs soul to the afterlife for judgement Hope this helps :P
