How women control men?

Men and women are considered equal in many societies, and they should remain that way.

People fought for the right of women to be treated equally, particularly in western society, so men and women should remain equal. After all we are both the same, still all humans.

There are still many places where people believe men and women are equal but in different ways, and many places where people believe men should have power over women. Even in societies where women are considered equal, great care is usually taken even today to reinforce that concept.

Remember, though, that whatever kind of society you study, women always have powers not necessarily evident at first glance.

For example, women might be traditionally considered responsible for raising children, choosing and cooking food, making and keeping a home as pleasant as possible, and generally keeping human relationships harmonious.

If we said these responsibilities were solely those of men, we'd probably take another look and say, he brings up the kids, decides what and when we all eat, keeps the house the way he likes it, and decides more or less who in the family has the varying degrees of power - that would make him a bit too powerful!

But many women quietly get on with being this powerful, and society benefits from this, just as it benefits from women bringing their skills and attitudes to occupations once thought of as for men only.
