because earth rotates, the winds don't blow in a straight line. If earth did not rotate they would go from north to south and south to north in a straight line.

Wind would probably be stronger because it is caused by the uneven heating of the atmosphere, resulting in differences in atmospheric pressure. Wind is nature's attempt to make the atmospheric pressure the same everywhere.
Then winds would blow directly in toward the center of low atmospheric pressure,
and directly out away from the center of highatmospheric pressure.
However, the whole occurrence of high- and low-pressure systems would be
all screwed up, since they are the result of daily heating by the sun, but the
'day' would become 182 times as long as it is now if the Earth didn't rotate.
it would not make it a when because it couldnt move.
The season progression would reverse.
It happens all around the earth all the year round.
axis
We would lose heat and have more energy
It takes about 58.6 Earth days to rotate:)
because if the earth didnt rotate it didnt cause day and night
if the earth rotates in the same place
No
Global winds are caused by unequal heating of the Earth's surface and they curve because... If the Earth did not rotate, Global Winds would not curve. They would be straight as a line. So because of EARTH'S ROTATION, global winds curve.
What if anything would happen to the shape of the earth if it were to rotate on its axis faster than it does todayWell ladies and gentlemen
it means 2012 will happen! you cannot hide! We are doomed!
Then the earth would not rotate.
instead of everything getting older it would get younger
global warning, pollution
The season progression would reverse.
The season progression would reverse.
As the Earth does not rotate evenly, but rather at a tilt, the seasons would be skewed.
