What is miscible and immiscible?

Miscible liquids are liquids that form a homogeneous mixture when they are added together. Obviously liquids that are immiscible do not form a homogeneous mixture when they are added together.

A heterogeneous mixture is to homogeneous mixture as immiscible liquids are to what?

miscible (soluble)

State the factors which determine immiscible and miscible liquids?

State factors which determine immiscibility and miscible liquids?

What are miscible liquids?

Miscible means that the two liquids will mix in all proportions to form a homogeneous solution so that you can no longer see that there were two liquids (e.g. alcohol and water) The opposite is immiscible which is where two liquids will not mix together and separate out into two layers (e.g. oil and water are immiscible). Miscible refers to liquids that can be mixed in all proportions. Answers.com

When water is mixed with rubbing alcohol the two liquids completely dissolves. Are the two liquids miscible are they immiscible?

miscible

I need a list of miscible and immiscible liquids.?

immiscible oil and water copper and cobalt

What is immiscible?

Immiscible liquids do not mix with each other and don't form homogeneous mixtures. An example of this type of relationship is between water and oil (they separate)

When water is mixed with rubbing alcohol the two liquids completely dissolve. Are the two liquids miscible or are they immiscible?

Water and rubbing alcohol are totally miscible.

What is word miscible and immiscible used procedure?

If two liquids are miscible, it means they are capable of being mixed together in all proportions. For example, water and ethanol are miscible as they mix together. If two liquids are immiscible, it means that they don't mix together and they don't form a solution in some proportion. For example, water is immiscible with oil.

What difference between miscible and insoluble?

Two materials are said to be miscible if when combined they will form a homogeneous mixture. Immiscible refers to inability to mix two liquids or even two solids. Gases are always miscible. Oil and water are immiscible and, if mixed, separate into two different phases, the oil phase and the water phase.

What are miscible?

Liquids that mix together completely. You will not be able to see signs of a heterogeneous mixture if the two liquids are miscible, and the liquids will appear homogeneous.

What are immiscible liqids?

Immiscible liquids do not mix with each other and don't form homogeneous mixtures. An example of this type of relationship is between water and oil (they separate)
