Exocytosis is the process by which a substance us released through the cell through a vesicle that transports the substance to the cell surface and then fuses with the membrane to let the substance out of the cell. Endocytosis is the process by which cells ingest external fluid, macro-molecules, and large particles, including other cells.

In shorter terms Exocytosis releases fluids while Endocytosis takes in fluids.

Endocytosis: the process in which a portion of the cell membrane surrounds a particle and encloses the particle in a vesicle to bring the particle into the cell: Exocytosis: the process in which a cell releases a particle by enclosing the particle in a vesicle that then moves to the cell surface and fuses with the cell membrane which results in the vesicle contents being released to the extra-cellular environment and the bi-lipid enclosure being re-united with the cell membrane.

Endocytosis is a process in the cell that happens when a cell is taking in a substance(Nutrients, Medicine, etc.) for uses inside the cell, and

Exocytosis is when the cell is getting rid of the waste.

Endocytosis can be classified in two ways: endocytosisphagocytosis = Eating large particles = "cellular eating"pinocytosis = Eating lots of little.

Exo - Cytosis is the sum total of Cellular Export Processes that are best described as ubiquitous.

Ubiquitous is best defined as describing 'the presence of Olive trees in Greece.'

They both are forms of active transport, and use vesicles to move substances from one structure to another one.

Similarities: They both are ribosomes coming from deoxyribonucleic acids.

Differences: Endocytosis has "endo" as the suffix of the word, and exocytosis has "exo" as the prefix of the word.

It is called exocytosis, which is defined as "a process by which the contents of a cell vacuole are released to the exterior through fusion of the vacuole membrane with the cell membrane." The opposite of exocytosis is endocytosis.
