Right click on the picture in web browser and select Save Picture as... to save the picture. If the picture can be saved only as bmp, then the picture is not a jpeg image. If it was ajpeg image, you can specify the target format as either jpeg or bmp.
Paste the image to word or another such program, then right click and save image.
Right click on the picture which you want to download. After clicking you will see a pop where the option of save image will be available. Click on the save image and save the picture in the desired destination.

Right click on the image as "Save Picture As". Then save to your flashdrive or thumbdrive. Next go to your account and upload it from your thumbdrive or flashdrive.
You right click on the image and click save as... and then save it where ever you want on your computer.(don't know what the difference between an picture and an icon though)

Click on the image and when it's being displayed again, right click the image and click 'Save image as...' Save it to wherever you desire. Once that's done go to your Facebook profile and click your profile picture, click browse and select the image that you saved and click ok.
It's the same as on any other idevice, you click the home and power buttons at the same time to save a picture. Or, if you mean saving pictures while on the Internet, then click the picture, hold, and then click save image. It will be saved to your photos
I am running Tux Paint on Ubuntu 9.04 Jaunty Jackalope. Tux paint did not ask where to save the image. I could find the saved image in ~/.tuxpaint/saved
