Yes, Shaws is for sale.The problem is that Albertsons paid too much for the company and then when Supervalu bought Albertsons the parent company did not pay close enough attention and as a result,shaws is only worth approx 40 per cent of what was paid for it..Entire company is only worth 1 billion and they paid 2.4 billion for it 5 years ago.
You will see small groups of Shaws stores being sold..package sales as in 3 -4 stores will be bought by one company and then 4-5 to another. The main stores,the ones in large cities or surrounding areas will not be broken apart but sold to one company ..Most likely Krogers.....
