I have dextrocardia but no heart problems. I had a brother who also had dextrocardia but he had other heart defects and died as a child (age 7) in 1972. I am 45 yrs old and have no other health problems except for sulfa allergy. It seems likely that there is a genetic link.
I haven't seen any link between the ingestion of OPC's and allergy relief. I'd stick with an anti-histamine to resolve your allergy symptoms - and see a specialist to get rid of your allergies all together.

According to Healthmad, Immunotherapy involves giving the patient allergen extracts (very tiny amounts of the allergy in question: peanut, tree nut, etc. By doing so, it gradually desensitizes the patient to the said allergy. In this aspect, it is the only available treatment for allergy relief! Also, it seems like you also need not get those nasty allergy shots!
