pretty much the same, the only difference is that from the iphone you can make calls from anywhere and from the ipod (equipped with the proper apps) you can only make calls and stuff while on internet(wifi) apart from that they are the same, same features, same apps, same iOS...
No. No wifi and also you can't make calls, as simcards will not be recognised. It only has a few apps and songs. Useless
The WiFi only models can make calls with FaceTime and Skype and other chat apps. Even the 3G model is not a telephone, so cannot make regular telephone calls.
It should be able to, the only thing a phone really needs a SIM card for is making calls for which you pay for, or texting.
You can access it through wifi and make calls through an app. That would be the only way you can make a call.
You can use an iPod 5 to text or make calls, however, it can only do so when there is WiFi available.
Yes, I use it from my iphone. I assume there is a way to get it in app form on other smart phones. The only problem is that you can only chat over 3G with skype. Obviously the phone companies don't want you to be making free calls over their internet service. However, if you have access to wifi, you can make calls from a smart phone over skype.
iPhone 3g is capable of 3g access, but not iPhone 1st generation. However, some areas do not have 3g coverage, so iPhone will automatically switch to EDGE. iPhone 1st generation only has EDGE and Wifi, and iPhone 3g has EDGE, 3g, and WIFI.
Yes, it would be like having an iTouch. All the apps and WiFi just no phone calls or text.
Any where that WiFi is available. There are no restrictions.
yes it can just make sure you are connect to the internet so you can use wifi
How Do I get my wifi network back on my iphone
