I have to write a letter saying who is to blame for World War two. but it says write it in the 1930's but the war started in 1939. Help?

You might try describing Hitler's 'truimphal march' through the years 1935-38 and complain bitterly about appeasement. After all, the declaration of war came after a long attempt to accept Nazi demands. It didn't come like a bolt from the blue. There was quite a history of aggressive behaviour by the Nazis. If you have to ascribe blame you need to look at the background. 1939 is still technically the 1930's so write what was happening in that year, you may want to browse old newspapers at the library. date the letter to dec 31st, 1939..
