What is the prescription given to detox off Lortab?

suboxone ...saved my life....also subutex and methadone....but methadone is highly addictive as well....the one with the highest success rate is suboxone....a.k.a.beuprenorphine/naloxone.....good luck and hang in there....youve got to want it for it to work

Can you be on methadone one day and be on suboxone the next day?

wait at least 48 hours, what ever you do , do not take any suboxone before this or you risk getting VERY VERY sick. The half life of methadone is around 60 hours, so if you can stand to wait 3 days (72 hours) than that is better, the longer the better really. You also need to have been gradually coming down off the methadone and need to go down as far as possible. You must be below 40mg but if you can go all the way down to 10 or 15mg than that would make for a smoother transition. You need to be totally honest with your suboxone doctor about when the last time you used was so he can then tell you when to take the suboxone. Trust me you do not want to play around with this. I have seen so many people coming off methadone think " I'll just go ahead and take a suboxone" when it had only been like 24 hours, and the went into severe withdrawals immediately and where in pure HELL for a few hours. No matter how bad you feel just wait wait wait as long as you can. At least 48 hours.

What happens if the gold miners got sick?

Why do you feel more high on suboxone than Oxycontin?

Well, it is obviously different for you than it is most people. I have been taking Suboxone for a year, and I certainly do not get high from it. I am at 8 mg per day. I never feel high from it. I don't know anyone who feels high from Suboxone. The first day I took it I felt good, but I am pretty sure that is only because I was in withdrawal before I took it and it got me well.........it definitely did not feel anything like Oxy's. So, all I can say to you is enjoy it........LOL! I am a little jealous, actually.....(I know that's sick, but it's the nature of the beast I guess).

What is the longest possible time on methadone?

There doesn't seem to be a limit on the time a person can be on methadone, if they are healthy. Having run 2 methadone clinics, the longest times I have personally seen people on methadone are one woman for 30 years (and still on it), one man for 25 years (with a brief break trying to use suboxone to get off of everything for about a month, but then he got back on methadone and is still on it, for a total of 35 years) and another woman for about 27 years. The doses these persons weere/are on range from 80 mg/day to 250 mg/day. As long as you eat right and maintain your health, methadone does not seem to have a "limit."

What are the Side effects of methadone and Effexor?

Some side effects for methadone are. Inhibition to reach orgasm and change of habits. Including binge eating and weight gain due to metabolic change. I have been on methadone for three years and I couldn't of become clean any other way. I tried numerous approaches to quitting but this worked the best.

If you go into withdrawls by taking Suboxone too early when do you take Suboxone again so it works?

So far it has been 15 hours since i took suboxone for the very first time and i still cant use, even banging has no effect. And what really sux is that i took the suboxone too soon after using so it put me into immediate withdrawl so there is no way out right now, just have to wait and try again in 5 or 6 hours and hope something will kill the withdrawl wether it be another suboxone or i will have to use again to get it to go away, but i took it at 945pm last night and it is now just past noon and i just tried and got nothing, zip, zilch, nada, waste of time and money

How long should you wait after you take suboxon to take methadone?

It really depends on the person. Since methadone works for 24 hours you really should wait 48-72 hours. Wait as long as possible because you do not want to get deathly sick from the suboxone. see?? i just smoked some crack and i didnt have to wait no time!!

How did Swine Flu get to the US?

Where can you get help paying for your suboxone prescription?

The Suboxone Patient Assistance Program, from the pharmaceutical company that manufactures the Suboxone medication themselves, Beckett Renckiser. You can contact Beckett Renckiser at 1-888-898-4818 and ask them about the Suboxone Patient Assistance Program. I know this because I have went through this process before but the Addiction Specialist that I was seeing used an insurance company that would not allow Beckett Renckiser or any pharmaceutical company for that matter to send medications directly to his office. And that is how this Assistance Program works.

Can suboxone test positive for opiates?

methadone does not show up as an "opiate" on a drug test. It is an opiate, but it is sythentically different from other opiates and will not show up on a drug test as an opiate. Methadone has to be specifically tested for as methadone. With methadone abuse on the rise, alot of places have gone ahead and added it to the list of substances tested for so I wouldn't take a chance on it not be discovered. However, methadone clinics, when testing to see if you are taking your methadone properly will not only be looking for active methadone in the urine, but also methadone metabolite which shows that your body processed the methadone. This prevents someone from just putting a bit of methadone in their urine because this manner doesn't provide methadone metabolites.

Does suboxone help rid body of opiates?

Yes, it does not. Suboxone is a semisynthetic opioid analgesic and relieves the withdrawal symptoms of opiate addiction by binding to your opiate receptors and kicking the true opiotes off of these receptors. Due to the nature of the drug it does remove other opiates and puts them into your bloodstream to be detoxed by liver and kidneys. Suboxone is nothing like heroin or oxycontin-it does not get an addict high nor does it send you into withdrawal if you use an opiate while on it. you can only withdrawal if addicted. Suboxone has a stronger affinity for these receptors than does heroin/oxy and the drugs will give no europhic effect. "And if you try to take any other opiates while suboxone is still in your system not only will you not feel it at all you will be sent in to severe withdrawal symptoms immediately and will become VERY sick (not true. You should wait at least 24 hours after your last opiate to take suboxone to avoid becoming sick. Unless you are taking methadone, and that case you should wait at least 48 hours." This would only be true with methadone. Never take suboxone and methadone together. It is absolutely horrifying-yes worse than heroin withdrawal. I am no newbie to this type of lifestyle-it took me decades but with suboxone and help from non-using friends I am okay today. Also I personally know that you can take opiates when you still have suboxone in you. You actually get high because you're adding opiates to the opiods that are already there (just like if you drank a beer a little while after taking five shots you would get more drunk than if you had never taken the shots). Not true-Subs are antagonists-they block opiates-I learned early on about the deterrent affect of the drug. They add naltrexone to suboxone in the US-it completely blocks opiates from being effective. Another reason why you may have thought this is because there is an opiate agonist in Suboxone, but I have read (I don't know enough about pharmacy to understand why this works, just that it does) that there is one part agonist to every three parts of opines, and for some reason this ratio causes injecting Suboxone to be uncomfortable. (only mental cases do this-like fools who crush and snort lortabs-real dope fiends!) I have been prescribed suboxone for 3 years-i was addicted to heroin and methadone for 15 years. Subutex is a different horse and not easily obtained in the US. Life is much easier without the daily runs and waste of thousands of dollars. The first year i used intermittently by cutting down my dosage for a few days-good heroin always worked but at the same time destroyed so many things in my life - especially to those that loved me it wasn't worth it. I actually despise reading about teenagers doing heroin. I am 52 and my life would have been a lot different if drugs in general hadn't been a priority with me. In short-suboxone does knock true opiates out of your system-I never got a feeling of being high on it-never detox from a high dose of methadone (done to me in the hospital) with it unless you want to truly visit hell.
