If you pay 20 for 1 gallon, then you are paying 20 for one gallon.
Similarly if you are paying 49.40 for 1 gallon, then you are paying 49.40 for one gallon.

If, however, you meant how much you are paying for 1 gallon WHEN IT HAS BEEN DILUTED, then:
When diluting 32:1, you will add 32 gallons of water to make 33 gallons in total. You will then be paying:
(40 + cost of 32 gallons of water) ÷ 33 ≈ 1.21 + the cost of 32/33 gallon of water.
When diluting 50 to 1 you will add 50 gallons of water to make 51 gallons in total. You will then be paying:
(49.40 + cost of 50 gallons of water) ÷ 51 ≈ 0.96 + the cost of 50/51 gallon of water.
Price of a gallon is $2.009. the third digit after the decimal is for 9/10 of a gallon. You are not paying for a gallon of gas. You are paying for 9/10 a gallon of gas. Sometimes you will see 9/10 after the cost of gas.
A U.S. gallon is 3.78 litres. Obviously then, when we are paying $1.00 per litre, the we are really paying $3.78/U.S. gallon. The Americans were panicing when they were paying these type of numbers. Why are Canadians paying so much??? Free Trade??? We have all the oil and gas for crying down the sink!!
There are way too many variables to answer your question here. How many miles per gallon does your car get. What is the price per gallon you're going to be paying. www.mapquest.com will tell you how far.
it was about .20 today that would be like you paying $4.37/ gallon
He had a gas station that was boot leg gas from a gas station he owned. He was making a profit off of gas, when really the gas wasn't good. He was stealing from his customers and he knew he was. If you thought you were paying 20 miles to the gallon, you were really paying for like 16 miles to the gallon.
In California I remember paying 39¢ /gallon for premium in 1971. It held around there it it jumped to near 60¢ in June 1973..overnight. And that's if you could get it at all.

This is dependent on many factors: * region * fuel grade * state taxation * availability Take heart though, people in Europe are paying over $5.35 per gallon ... we are heading towards that in the US.
It depends on how many gallons the fuel tank holds and how much you are paying for a gallon of gasoline.
€1.286 per liter. There are 3.8 liters per gallon and the exchange rate for the Euro varies but is usually around 1.40 dollar per euro. So in dollars you are paying about $6.84 per gallon.
I remember paying about 1.25 per gallon. cheap by todays standards, i remember complaining about it being too high back then.
