If your 1919 wheat penny is silver, then it is either silver plated or a counterfeit. In either case it has no collector value. Dan Well, Dan, what if it is a cent-on-dime planchet error? That would be about $250.00

In well worn condition it's worth about 10 cents -- lightly worn, with all the vertical lines in the wheat ears clear and separated, it's worth about $2.00 -- a nice uncirculated one is worth about $30.00.More:According to USA Coin Book, a coin in good condition would be worth about $0.20 while an coin in MS60 mint condition would be worth about $42. I coin in MS65 brilliant uncirculated grade would be worth about $125.

That dot is what's left of the mint mark, which was originally a D or S. Assuming the coin is worn to the point that letter is barely legible, it's worth around a dollar.
