We could say the circumference of the circle is 15 feet and you want the area. The formula for area of a circle is usually given as Pi times the radius squared but we don't have the radius ( or at fist it seems we don't) The circumference is 2x Pi x radius and this is 15 so the radius is 15/2Pi Now we have what we need to use the formula. The area is Pix (15/2Pi)^2=15^2/4Pi This is 225/Pi and using 3.14 as an approximation to Pi the are is about 17.914 which we can round to 18 square feet if you want.
