I'm not a teacher, but I imagine that PA stands for pronoun-antecedent agreement. One of the most common things I've seen while contributing on grammar sites is the use of a plural pronoun to refer to a singular antecedent.-- A student must carry their books to class. Student is singular, but their is a plural possessive pronoun. Using his in place of their leaves out the female population and vice versa. Writing A student must carry his or her books to class is wordy and awkward. The solution is actually quite simple--make the subject plural. All students must carry their books to class.I hope I understood the question correctly! : )

If a student is tardy to their classes, they are likely to miss out on learning material that had been taught while they were not in class. If a student does not attend all of class, the quality of his or her education is lowered. Also, if a student is continuously late for class, he or she is more likely to arrive late at a job when they begin their career. While consequences of tardiness in school are minimal (detentions, etc), if a person is continually late for a job they risk being fired. Having a set time students must be in class teaches responsibility.
