It is not the force of the brakes that is stopping the car but rather external force of friction between tires and the road. Notice that no matter what the force at the brakes is, the car won't stop if there is no friction there(ie. the road is slippery).
This is an excellent question. Consider the NASA space shuttle. It has brakes, yet the brakes work only on the ground - only while the shuttle is landing. Why?
In space, the brakes have nothing to react against. So, as the questioner suspects, the internal forces of the brakes alone are not sufficient to change the velocity of the space shuttle. But once the shuttle lands, and is rolling down the runway, applying the brakes creates friction between the wheels and the runway. And it is the external force of the runway pushing back against the braking wheels that causes the shuttle to slow down.
A response is an action of change in behavior that occurs as a result to a stimulus. The stimulus can be either internal or external.
its called homeostasis. ;)
Sir Isaac Newton first presented his three laws of motion in the "Principia Mathematica Philosophiae Naturalis" in 1686. His first law states that every object will remain at rest or in uniform motion in a straight line unless compelled to change its state by the action of an external force. This is normally taken as the definition of inertia. The key point here is that if there is no net force resulting from unbalanced forces acting on an object (if all the external forces cancel each other out), then the object will maintain a constant velocity. If that velocity is zero, then the object remains at rest. And if an additional external force is applied, the velocity will change because of the force. The amount of the change in velocity is determined by Newton's second law of motion.
Yes - speed is rate of change of position irrespective of direction. What an object cannot do is change direction without changing velocity, which is speed in a particular direction, i.e. a vector rather than a scalar. In vector terms, speed is the modulus of the velocity vector. An example would be a body in gravitational circular orbit around another body - constant speed, but continuously changing velocity due to the gravitational force.
The Rate of Change of velocity is - acceleteration
No, internal forces can't change the velocity of a body. Because if we want to change the velocity of a body we must apply a external force or an unbalanced force. Ex:- if we travel in a bus , if we apply some forces inside the bus the velocity of the bus can't change.so internal forces can not change the velocity of body ---- ----
external
Both, for the bug to exhibit an external change (its color), there must first be an internal change that triggers the color change (its color). Thus, the internal change facilitates the external change. The predator is an external factor that causes an internal reaction (maybe it's fear) in the bug, that internal reaction then triggers an external factor which is the change in color. Just a personal opinion.
Velocity of any body changes due to external force being put in that body to make it stop or to make it move faster, for example the velocity of a car changes when you put on accelerator and it slows down when u put on brakes. therefore change in velocity is due to Acceleration and Retardation (Deceleration).

external because they can change over time.
exothermal
It depends how you changed the direction of the body. If the body is hit by an external force in the direction of motion, the velocity should increase. If the body is hit by an external force in the opposite direction of motion, velocity will decrease.
yes.
Is a dectable change in the internal or external environment
External process occur on the surface of the earth . It is slow change . Ex- change in leevel of the earth . Internal process occur inside the surface of the earth . It is sudden change . Ex -earthquake activities
It takes place due to StimulusStimulus.
