In the worst case, each package of cards contains 20 different cards, and each package is different than any other package. This means that, if there are 550 different cards, it would take 27.5 packages to contain all 550 cards. Since you cannot purchase a half package, you would have to purchase 28 packages to ensure that you get more than one of the same card.
Selling Baseball CardsIf you sell your baseball cards to a dealer you will only get about half the market value, more or less depending on the popularity of the card, and the length of time the dealer thinks it would take to resell. To get the true market value (book value) you would want to sell directly to a collector. Auction houses are a great place to sell valuable baseball cards. eBay is also a good venue for selling collectibles. There are plenty of hard core baseball card collectors shopping on eBay. However, if the cards you have are common and in low demand you might have a hard time selling them.
Half the deck of cards are red.
Exactly half. Half of 52 is 26.
It is conceivable (woodcut) baseball cards may have been done in the past as this low contrast would mimic the bronze plaques of the Hall of Fame . Why not write the Hall and suggest this idea. I vaguely recall metallized Baseball cards dealing with Hall of Famers only and these were marketed via Johnson Smith in Florida-they are very much in business on the novelty front! Its a good idea, methinks/
A standard deck of card consists of 52 playing cards (excluding the jokers). Half of the deck is black and half of the deck is red. Therefore, there are a total of 26 red cards.
One half of the deck is black cards, therefore 26 cards are black.
half not including the jokers
if you mean how many cards are in a pack of cards its 52.
