No, it is not illegal. If the younger person you are dating is UNDER 18 then it is illegal. At the age of 18,the child is able to do anything it desires. Hope it helped :)

It is not illegal to date someone under 18. However some countries legislate against sexual intercourse, not dating, for people under 18.

Thats actually one the best ages to date in my opinion!! WHen i was 16 i dated a 21 year old...kinda dumb but fortionatlly he didnt try anything and he was a good first!!

There are no laws regarding dating as far as I know. It may not be desirable for a 21 year old to date a 9 year old but it is not actually illegal!!!! It only becomes illegal when the relationship gets physical.

I would say that 18 and 21 is a pretty acceptable age gap, its not like its 14 and 56 (ref Bill Wyman)! However...The 21 year old will probably be more experienced and will be hoping for a more advanced relationship than the 18 year old is ready for.

If you are the person involved... do things at your pace, if they can't wait... bin them!

If you are the parent... This is one of those occasions I think where you need to look back at your parenting skills and HOPE that you have instilled the correct values so they can make the right decision at the right time and with the right precautions!

Just remember that if you prohibit things, they simply do them behind your backs... with less comfort, less time, more alcohol, and less precautions.

As long as age of consent has been obtained, an 18 year old can date a 21 year old.
