Well nobody knows when or where you will get your period,well i remember when i was about 10 i was told about a period and i was looking forward to it for a long time and wanted it to come but when i got it it wasnt all that its a life long thing my antie told me and so it is and i thought i would never get it and not to long after that i got it so no one no`s

From what I've seen is if you're just getting discharge it could be up to a year until u get ur period but if you're getting cramps and discharge. There's a good chance it will be coming soon P.S tell ur mum ur getting cramps she'll automatically assume it's your period coming and she might no how long and have a bit of advice for the cramps.

Well, if your period is coming soon in around couple days, then yest that might be the cause. But, lets say you just had your period or you shouldn't be on it for a week or so, then that is not what's going on. You should talk to your doctor if that is the case. Also if you are being sexually active, you need to be tested.

If this is the case you need to carry with a small zipper pouch with supplies you will need if you start away from home. Don't panic when it happens because it is normal and you will be fine. It could take it a year to settle down to a normal cycle, but get a small pocket calendar to mark off the dates of your period each month. This is important to have and since you are so young do NOT start using tampons until you are older. If you are younger you should do the same. Try putting a hot hot face cloth on it and leave it there and most important don't pop it.
