No, if you have a contained filled with hydrogen and oxygen gas you have separated hydrogen molecules (H2) and oxygen molecules (O2).

In water the hydrogen and oxygen are bonded to each other in water molecules (H2O).

However, if you apply enough heat to a mixture of hydrogen and oxygen gas the two will react and water will be the product.

No. You simply have a mixture of two gasses. The hydrogen and oxygen remain chemically separate from one another as two distinct but intermingled substances. That is, you still have separate H2 and O2 molecules. If you were to ignite the mixture, they would form water. In water the hydrogen and oxygen are chemically bonded to one another in a single substance H2O, the properties of which differ greatly from either element.

No you have a mixture of hydrogen molecules (H2) and oxygen molecules (O2) that remain separate from one another.

In water the hydrogen and oxygen aren't just mixed. They are chemically bonded together into H2O molecules.

Hydrogen (H2) and oxygen (O2) are in their elemental form. Water vapor is a compound formed by these two elements (H2O) in the gas state.

Because a reaction between hydrogen and oxygen is also possible at the room temperature, but the speed of reaction is very, very low.

They become water because the two hydrogen atoms bonded to the single oxygen atom makes the atoms stable, meaning their valence shells will become filled by the sharing of electrons.

How is a container of hydrogen gas different from a container of water vapor?

In a bottle of hydrogen and oxygen the two elements are intermingled but remain chemically separate and distinct. You have H2 molecules and O2 molecules in the same general space. In a bottle of water the hydrogen and oxygen are combined into a single substance, forming molecules of H2O.

Why is the volume of gas collected twice of the volume of other gas when electric current is passed through water?

When an electric current is passed through water, it undergoes electrolysis, which breaks water molecules into hydrogen and oxygen gases. The ratio of hydrogen to oxygen gas produced is 2:1, meaning that for every two volumes of hydrogen gas collected, one volume of oxygen gas is collected. Therefore, the volume of gas collected is twice as much for hydrogen compared to oxygen gas.
