Importance of the atmosphere?
November 15, 2010 12:22AM
Without the atmosphere, we would not exist. The atmosphere protects the Earth from harmful Ultraviolet rays emitted by the sun. The atmosphere is also believed to be a defense against meteorites, making it hard for large ones to enter through the Earth's atmosphere. The atmosphere is like a source of life as well, "sheltering" the Oxygen and other necsisary elements of life.
