The order is 4, 1, 5, 2, 3

To understand why that is the answer, read below.

It is a riddle. Think of it this way:

Each number (2,4,5,1, and 3) corresponds to a lever, they don't tell you what order to pull the levers.

I'll try and show you:

Lets say these the 5 levers (bear with me, i know it isn't great art):

Each number corresponds to the lever above it.

What you have to do is pull the levers so that the numbers are in their correct numerical order:

which of course is 1 2 3 4 5

so, you need to pull the levers in this order:

When you get down to the room with the switches go to the rock with the writing on it. It will tell you some numbers (I forget what they are) but you have to place those numbers on top of the switches (say the 3rd switch is in place of the number one from the rock then you pull that switch first).
