When two objects at difference temperatures touch, they both decrease or increase to result in the same temperatures so that it's at equilibrium. To change in temperature, the heat energy from the the object with the higher temperature will always flow to the object with the lower temperature. This is also the definition of heat and is not to be mistaken with temperature.

Heat is the transfer of energy from an object with a higher temperature to an object with a lower temperature.

Temperature is the measurement of kinetic energy of particles in an object.

The heat will flow from the body with high temperature to the body with low temperature...the body of higher temperature loses the heat starts to become cold..and the body of lowest temperature gains the heat and starts to become hot..in this process when the temperature of both bodies reach in same temperature the two bodies will be in thermal equillibium condition..

What are the major differences between high contact and low contact service systems?

The major differences between high-contact and low-contact service systems: high-contact system-to receive the service, the customer must be part of the system. Low-contact system is when customers are not in contact with the any services while the service is performed.

What are the differences between cross belt and open belt drives?

in the cross belt drives the 2 shaft rotates in opposite direction whereas in open belt drive the 2 shafts rotates in the same direction the angle of lap or contact is different for both the drives

What determines the flow of heat between two objects in contact?

Difference in temperature

What happens when there is a temperature difference between tow objects?

If they are in close contact, the hot object transfers heat to the cold object until both objects are equal in temperature. After which the temperature loss is reduced at the same rate until both objects have cooled to ambient temperature (the temperature of the surrounding air). If they are not in close contact, then most of the heat is dispersed into the air.

What happens when there is a temperature difference between two object?

Temperature is a measure of the heat energy of objects, and heat is the energy transferred from a high temperature location to a low temperature location. When two objects are in contact, heat always flows from the warmer object to the cooler object by conduction, until thermal equilibrium is established and the heat transfer stops (becomes the same in either direction). The transfer of heat continues as long as there is a difference in temperature between the two points.
