Old fortinbras, Yorick, and King Hamlet are all dead at the start of the play. During the play itself, Polonius is killed, followed by Rosencrantz and Guildenstern (offstage), Ophelia, Gertrude, Claudius, Laertes, and finally Hamlet.

Having poison poured in the ear, being stabbed in the arras (how painful!), drowning, drinking poisoned wine, getting stabbed with a poisoned sword, and being executed by the authorities. Watch the play and find out who died in which way!

The first to die within the actual plot-line of the play is Polonius, father of Ophelia and adviser to the King of Denmark. However central to the themes and plot of the play was the murder by poisoning of Old Hamlet, the current Prince Hamlet's father and previous King of Denmark, and brother to Claudius.

In just that order. Polonius dies in Act 3 Scene 4, Ophelia dies in Act 4 Scene 7, and Claudius and Hamlet both die in Act 5 Scene 2. Hamlet kills Claudius then dies of the poisoned wound Laertes gave him.

If you are referring to the overall play, Hamlet kills Polonius hiding behind the arras in Gertrude's bedroom, thinking him to be Claudius. This drives Ophelia mad, and she drowns in what is either an accident or a suicide. Gertrude drinks the poison intended for Hamlet at the Fencing match, and Hamlet stabs Claudius and pours some of the poisoned wine down his throat. If, instead, you are asking about the order of the deaths at the fencing match, it is Gertrude, Claudius, Laertes, and Hamlet.
