Smell is not the most important sense, touch is the most important sense. Without touch, important involuntary functions would not function properly. Of all the senses, those who loose their sense of touch will typically not have a great life expectancy.

When you loose your sense of touch, you also loose your sense of pain.

You may be hurting your body and you may not even know it, because you can't feel anything.

Science has shown that touch is necessary for life.

touch your mate, when you get home.

Most people would say sight comes second.

You can smell burning and sourness. If you smell something and it smells horrid then you would put it down. If you didn't smell it and u just looked at it and it look good, you wouldn't be able to determine if this really is something i should be consuming. So you should be thankful for smell instead of having to taste something that could virtually be poisoness to your body

One of the most important purposes for the sense of smell is to prevent us from eating spoiled food. Our sense of smell is also tied into other things, such as taste and even memory. Try holding your noise while eating a piece of fruit, and you are sure to notice a dramatic difference in taste.

Is nose least important sense organ?

No, to me the sense of smell is important. If the house was burning down and you in another room if you had no sense of smell you would have to go on your other senses to figure it out. If you didn't have a sense of smell how would you know if you stink, that would suck if your on a date and your date leaves you because you smell "rank." Your sense of taste seems less important to me, if you think about it living without taste isn't bad as you not being able to see, touch, hear, and smell. All in all you need your sense of smell to coexist in everyday life.
