The Stevens Model 58 Salvage Shotgun with no serial number was probably manufactured in the early 1940's in Chicopee Falls MASS. It's value could range from $400.00 to $ 1500.00 depending on condition. If it has the Chicopee Falls Mass manufacturer on the barrel a good starting point is $ 500.00 and up depending on condition.

According to the stevens reference files the gun was made between 1936 - 1945, approximately 100,000 were made. As far as value?

Savage guns were manufactured in Chicopee Falls from 1946 to 1960. A 410 single shot could bring from $75 to $150.

what can you tell me about the [ Stevens -savage 22 bolt action model 15

Model 520 shotguns are selling, depending on condition, from $100-$200. sales@countrygunsmith.net

I suspect you are confusing a patent date marking with a model number. What are the other markings on the gun? sales@countrygunsmith.net OK. The best we can do is narrow it to the 1930's. No factory records exist. This was after the Savage takeover, and Stevens was still producing guns in the Chicopee Falls plant. They used the Springfield name as a value-brand.

Around $100 in average condition, judging by a few currently being offered on various gun auction websites.

The Stevens/Savage model 987 was made from 1972-1989.

this is a misprint. It should be a model 75 rather than a 57 as it appears in the question.

The Stevens Model 22/410 (and Savage Model 24) is worth from $150 to $500, depending almost entirely on condition, and in lesser degree the part of the country where the gun is being sold.

The savage/stevens model 59 was made between the years 1938-1945.

Springfield was a trade name used by the J. Stevens Arms division of Savage Arms from about 1920 to 1948. Savage-made firearms marketed under the Springfield brand name were prevalent at least into the 1960's. The Chicopee Falls marking on this shotgun indicates manufacture between 1946 and 1959. I have most, if not all, the Savage catalogs and factory parts manuals from 1920 forward and am having difficulty finding a '929' model... can you verify that model number? sales@countrygunsmith.net

The savage/stevens model 73 was made during the years 1964-1969.

Yes, I believe it was. I have a Model 53-B (single shot .22LR) and it says on the barrel 'SPRINGFIELD MODEL 53-B, Manufactured by J. Stevens Arms Co., Chicopee Falls, Mass. U.S.A.'

I have the same rifle. =) From oldguns.net it looks like about 200,000 were made somewhere between 1938 and 1945.

Contact Savage Firearms Customer Service through their website. It is not a 31 gauge, as that does not exist.

Savage Arms didn't move to Westfield until 1961. So being that Savage owned Stevens I'm guessing it's around that time. Not sure what year the 58 was introduced and discontinued, but I'm guessing a bulk of them were made in Chicopee Falls, or Utica, NY.

I have a Springfield model 87a. 22 short an long rifle automatic. It was made by j. Stevens firearm co in Chicopee falls mass USA. Can I get a parts catalog for it an when was it made
