Reality frightens them and the promise of everlasting life is irresistible.
There are many reasons religious people have such strong beliefs. For most people religious belief provides a reason for living, structure, rules to live by, someone in charge of a chaotic world and a strong belief that words in the form of prayer can actually have an impact on human events. It provides comfort for those who would find it terrifying to be alone in the world and responsible for their own behavior and well being. It teaches there is some omnipotent force watching everything each human does, protecting from danger, punishing for bad deeds and rewarding for good deeds and personal sacrifice. It allows that one person whose home was not destroyed by a tornado to exclaim that, "God was watching over me!" (Few question why God was not watching over those other families.)
Religion teaches that believers are superior in character than non-believers and they will be rewarded in the "next" life. It provides an excuse for oppression and a forum in which to establish hierarchies that allow the desires of men to be expressed through the will of God. It is a way to control people. It provides a scapegoat for misbehavior (the devil made me do it). It is a way to make certain people rich beyond imagination.
Elizabeth was a strict protestant. She allowed some religious freedom but not much.
reflects the most popular view of the people
The congregants were generally very religious and serious people.
Good question. What would help is if each country instituted religious freedom and protected religious minorities. People individually could learn and understand other people's religion, as well as their own. Most religions teach respect of your fellow human, but sometimes people forget. Religious conflicts are in reality caused by economic/social strains fomented by the ruling class. Examples: Northern Ireland and Israel/Palestine.
People have Epheiphobia because they don't understand teenagers or youth. They are afraid of teenagers and youth in reality, it is a very irrational fear.
they made the people understand each other and easier to rule the empire
they just need to get over there to the otherside of reality and be real
They can not accept reality. Physics is hard to understand if you think the Sun goes around the Earth or that the Earth is flat.
Another opinion from our community:I do not think so, but have to admit that people who have a faith to hold on to seem to live more stable lives. They have a purpose for living, whereas others who have no religious guidelines in their lives tend to loose site of their purpose, and ask what is it all for.
This is neither wrong nor right. It is in fact an opinion made by a group of religious people. In fact, most religious sayings can be opinions. Everybody is entitled to their own opinions and religious views. You have to decide what's best for you!

Answer: Since there is no way to provide evidence of a higher power, the religious have developed many ways to deceive people. Some are aware of the deception while others may believe what they are saying.Answer: By doing what any person, religious or non-religious does. They have others perceive them to be one way, when in reality, they are another. They may use this to get someone's trust, money, care, and so on.
