You'll need a Skilled Technical line score of 95 to qualify for MP. You should see the Skilled Technical Score (ST) score on your scoresheet but it's made up of your scores on the General Science (GS), Verbal Expression (VE), Mathematics Knowledge (MK), and Mechanical Comprehension (MC) subtests.

No. You can't fail the asvab. a score of 51 means you got more correct answers than 51% of the people that took the test. You should be able to join any branch with a score of 51
