This depends on several factors, but is usually considered outside the normal accepted range, so perhaps it is worth getting it checked out by a medical doctor. (You may have a condition known as arrythmia, called bradycardia).
It is impossible to say if you have an arrythmia, which is an abnormal heart beat. You may have sinus (normal) rhythm, just a slowed down rate.
An example of something that causes this is a bundle branch block or other types of conduction block.
The normal heart rate for adults is between 60-100 beats per minute. However, medications and certain conditions can raise and lower your normal pulse rate. Additionally, people who are very physically fit sometimes have a much lower resting heart rate. See your doctor to determine what a proper heart rate is for yourself personally.
a slower heart beat is auctually quite unhealthy, my heart beat at rest is 88 beats per minute ( i am 29 year old female and registered nurse) and goes up to 120 when i exercise which is very healthy, if your heart rate is that slow your blood pressure is also low, by adding exercise at least once a week for thirty minutes it will improve your heart rate and blood pressure, it will increase your appetite which is normal, which will in turn help your blood pressure and you will live longer just by following this simple one day a week step, and then their should be no reason why you shouldn't live into your 80's.---(great question.)
if its the resting heart rate then yes its normal.
the slower resting heart rate shows that ur heart is strong.
being physically active i.e. doing good exercise decreases the resting heart rate within physiologic limits.
No its not normal, its very good for a 70 year old.
Depends on what he's doing. It'd be about right for sedate walking or office work.

A normal active heart rate is 60-100 beats per minute for adults. For children it is 70-100 beats per minute.

Normally a human heart beats 72 times in a minute. 60 to 80 beats are normal beats/minute in the human body.
A heart rate of 60 beats per minute is considered within the normal range for healthy adults. It depends on what your normal heart rate is and where you are in your treatment (that is, how hyperthyroid are you? What are your FT3 levels?) 60 beats per minute sounds like a good thing to me.
The normal heart rate for an eight year old is about 80-120 beats per minute.
The normal heart rate for a 3 year old child is 80 to 120 beats per minute. As children age, the normal heart rate decreases.
