Stoke-on-Trent was the previous answer - it's incorrect :-)
Alsager has been in Cheshire for around 1,000 years, but the fact that it has a Stoke-on-Trent postcode confuses people. Its residents have always paid council tax to Cheshire County Council, the police force is Cheshire Constabulary, the library and schools run by Cheshire County Council (now Cheshire East of course), the MP is for the Congleton constituency, the MEP covers the North-West and so on, but because people see Stoke-on-Trent on the postal address they think that supercedes all else!
The Royal Mail has a lot to answer for!!
If you mean is Alsager in Cheshire, then the answer is absolutely YES! Well, technically it is in Cheshire East now, since 1st April 2009....it has a Stoke-on-Trent postal address, but postcodes are of course just there to assist the Royal Mail with delivery and have no real bearing on actual locations (as everyone on the outskirts of London and many people on the English/Welsh border will know!).
