In the Twilight series, Renesmee, Bella and Edward's child, does not become Jacob's mate. Renesmee and Jacob share a unique bond called an "imprinting," which is a deep, unbreakable bond between a shapeshifter (like Jacob) and someone else that can evolve into different forms of relationships, not necessarily romantic.
