∙ 11y agoNo- Kirk Alyn first played the character in the 1948 serial and its 1950 sequel, then George Reeves replaced him playing the character in the 1951 movie and in the 1950's TV show. Christopher Reeve was the third actor to play a live-action version of the character.
Bud Collyer can be credited as the first person to do anything for Superman on film by providing his voice for the character in radio programs and animated shorts from the 1940's. He reprised the role of voice work for Filmation's 1966-68 cartoon series.

∙ 14y agoThe Superman radio program premiered Monday, 12 February, 1940 with Clayton "Bud" Collyer voicing the Man of Steel. This made him the 1st actor to portray Superman in any medium.

If you want to include VOICE actors, the Superman radio serial started in 1940 and the first of a series of animated short films followed about a year later. In both of these, Superman was voiced by Bud Collyer.
