No it does not, it just kills the acne causing bacteria.and also stops the swelling of big red pimples.

You could potentially buy this medication in Mexico or India without a prescription, although this is difficult. Clindamycin is an antibiotic which the World Health Organization would like to control in order to decrease bacterial resistance.
You could, that's what I'm doing. My derm told me to use clindamycin phosphate gel (green stone brand). He first said use it twice a day, morning and night. Since I also wash my face in the afternoon I apply aveeno clear complexion moisturizer which has .2% salicylate acid. I'm doing great progress n it's been a month. I'm also taking pills
No!!!! As a pharmacist I advise you to NEVER use clindamycin drug products unless under medical supervision! Potentially serious side effects might arise. Clindamycin is to be used only when necessary and will treat only certain infections, which will have to be diagnosed by a doctor. In any other case it may potentially do harm, result in serious side effects or at best have no benefit whatsoever. Please ask the advice of your doctor or at least a pharmacist, who will have to evaluate the case. Best wishes!

The newest of these topical agents is metronidazole gel, which can be applied twice daily. Like the oral antibiotics, topical preparations appear to work by reducing inflammation,
Some likely side effects of using topical corticosteroid agents is thinning skin and stretch marks.
Yes it can be used in conjunction with retina a. I have acne that become as big as a mosquito bite. I have tried to hide it by using a bandage. I have had enough of having two white headed pimples. Therefore I went to a dermatologist. I told him I was using Rein A and he suggested that I use Clindamycin at bed time along with the retin a. Directions that were given to me were use the retin a as directed by applying a small amount onto face avoiding the eye areas. Then apply a small amount of the Clindamycin on top. I have used these for a month and have not had any large breakouts that I use to have.
I am allergic to bactrim and have been prescribed clindamycin for severe razor burn. I told my dr. about my allergy. Clindamycin topical works very well for me, never had a reaction. Although I should say officially I don't know.
Absolutely not. That will just create a scar on top of the stretch mark. The best thing you can do is use coco butter religiously to soften the area or you can go to the doctor and they can most likely prescribe you a more intense stretch march softening topical cream.
