No dinosaurs shared the body plan of alligators. However, Spinosaurus and its relatives that ate fish had heads which looked similar in many ways to the heads of crocodilians.

It depends what type of dinosaur it is, most dinosaur books have pictures of them though, but most of them looked like big lizards or monsters.

This species is not a dinosaur, but rather an anthracosaur, a type of temnospondyl amphibian closely related to reptiles, birds, and mammals. If you want to know what it looked like, think of a crocodile with more amphibian-like skin.
Obviously the egg, it did not say an alligator egg it simply states an egg. Therefore a dinosaur egg or any other species of eggs could have come before the alligator.
