In many aspects it is better, it takes full advantage of modern Directx10 capable graphics cards.
It demands more PC resources but given that it was released about 4 years ago almost any new PC is able to run flight simulator x aka FSX.
I recommend the move to Flight Simulator X
FSX (Flight Simulator X) has more airplanes and realistic 3D buildings than X-plane. X-plane only has very few airplanes while FSX has a lot more airplanes. X-plane has less and no 3D buildings, no taxiways, very few runways, no ATCs, no airport (mobile version, poor graphics, can't download and add more airplanes. With FSX, you can download and add more and more airplanes, more ultra-realistic graphics, tons of taxiways, airport gates, terminals and more and airplanes moving besides you. Yes, FSX is a lot better than X-plane. Computer version of X-plane is still very poor.
It is for sure far more realistic and has tons of add ons most of them free. Plus you can make your own.
There is no need to buy Microsoft Flight Simulator X: Deluxe Edition as Microsoft Flight Simulator X: Acceleration contains everything from Microsoft Flight Simulator X: Deluxe Edition and more.
It depends on what skill level you are. I think flying a plane in Fligh Simulator is WAY easier than the real thing.
Probibly Runescape since their is much more to do than in flight simulator 2004, plus with many more quests and weapons, its a much better investment that can keep your attention for hours
It is much cheaper (and safer) to let a fledgling pilot crash in a simulator than to crash a real plane while learning the nuances of flight.
There are no tow planes in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004. If you are trying to use a glider press "Y". You will enter slew mode. Press "F4" and your aircraft will climb vertically. Press "Y" again to exit slew mode once you are at your desired height.
Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004 retails for approximately $14. One may be able to purchase a used copy for less money than this via the Amazon Marketplace or via the eBay website.
It depends on howcomfortableyou are on the plane, but it is not more scary than any other plane flight.
Thats correct
it vibrates
Try X-Plane which is available for PC, Mac, Linux, iPhone, etc. It's one of the most realistic flight sim available. More flight sim than a game so you're not shooting other planes out of sky but flying a virtual aircraft that handles like the real thing.
It is less expensive and safer ,particularly for early trainig
it vibrates
