No, the government of Ireland is Fianna Fail. Irish politics is unusual in that the two main political parties are not on the main left/right spectrum, but Fianna Fail is fairly pro-business. The Irish Labour Party (Páirtí an Lucht Oibre) could be considered a socialist/social democratic party but there has never been a Labour Taoiseach and they're the 3rd largest party in the Dáil and the Seanad.

Ireland is a republic...However, they could actually be considered socialist due to the fact of large government influence. They have government control over healthcare, education, banks, and most businesses.
