Yes, but Leafpool is also the mother of Hollyleaf and Lionblaze. Leafpool is the mother of Jayfeather, Hollyleaf and Lionblaze, and it looks like Crowfeather is the father. You must know who our real mother is." Leafpool faced her calmly now. "Yes I know." "Then you have to tell me- please!" For several heartbeats, Leafpool didn't reply. She stood blinking, her muscles tensed as if she were about to leap over a vast chasm. Then she spoke "I am your mother hollyleaf. Squrrelflight was trying to protect me." And with Jayfeather....... Leafpool backed out of the store "I ... I told hollyleaf something I shouldn't have," she confessed. Jayfeather discovers that his mother is Leafpool when he learns of a herb that was accidentally mixed with some herbs that were given to the elders. It turned out to be an herb that is used to stop milk from coming. This, along with other clues, lead to Jayfeather's discovery.

Then, Jayfeather looks for the herb but Longtail and Mousefur said it didn't smell like it. Then, after lots of days, Jayfeather checks Mousefur for ticks. Then, Longtail smells the herb on Jayfeather. It was Half moon where the medicine cats go to the moonpool. Jayfeather asks Littlecloud about the strange herb. Littlecloud said it stops queens from producing milk in case their kits die. So that's how Jayfeather knew Leafpool was their mother. But, a Starclan warrior, Yellowfang, gives Jayfeather a crowfeather, a sign about who their dad is....
