I am on Seroquel AND Lithium Carbonate, in 2 separate pills. Seroquel mainly consists of Quetiapine, and whatever they use to cover the pill with, which is NOT lithium. Also , if Seroquel had lithium in it, the doctor would not prescribe me lithium on the side, as that would be doubling up on it and be very dangerous.

∙ 14y agoNo, Lexapro does not have Lithium. Lexapro contains a chemical called Escitalopram. It falls into a class of drugs known as SSRI's which is believed to work by increasing one's Serotonin levels by blocking its re-uptake. Lithium is a completely different drug that elevates mood by increasing serotonin by causing the body to make more.
