NO.My experience was quite the opposite. i received updates regularly, most by e mail, and was able to reach someone live after 5 ( i am central time) . while it took almost 3 mohts, i achieved a reasonable modification and my missed payments were put into forbearance. I too spoke with the attorney, as well as a paralegal and other staff. i have recommended others and have not heard any complaints. I'm sorry to hear the other writer had problems , but theres always two sides to a story...
NO. My experience was great. They stopped my foreclosure, got my loan modified to an interest rate and payment that I can afford, and basically saved my home. Compared to the other attorneys I considered, their pricing was the most reasonable and I am a satisfired customer.
Prepaid legal services often come with a contract with lots of type in small fonts. Reading the whole contract thoroughly and carefully will make clear whether or not the service is a scam.

To answer your question, it depends on what 'exactly' is a scam about LegalShield? For example, are you asking if their services are a scam? Or, is their business opportunity a scam? They're a REAL and LEGIT network marketing company that simply provides "Legal Insurance Policies" that cover 1 person or an entire family for a monthly rate, like a cell phone plan. Their services include: identity theft protection, unlimited 24/7 attorney advice over the phone, legal documents previewed, letters written on your behalf, motor vehicle services, etc... If your looking for attorney services that are affordable and high quality, they're definitely a unique legal policy with seasoned attorney services, and worth having if your looking for the "piece of mind".
One can determine if a pre-paid legal service is a scam by reading up on the lawyer or law firm online. Be sure to research who is going to be representing you and your case.
