Michael Myers is a fictional character from film director John Carpenter's 1978 film, Halloween.
However, on the 25th Anniversary DVD edition, the documentary mentions that John Carpenter got at least one of his ideas for how Michael Myers should behave after he went on a college school trip to a mental institution where he saw a 13 year old boy that showed no emotion. He found it deeply disturbing and creepy.
