As far as I can tell, Sir Padampat Singhania University does not offer a Ph.D. program in chemistry specifically. They do have Ph.D. programs in biotechnology and physics.
Based on this, if I got a job application from someone claiming to have a Ph.D. in Chemistry from that university, I would certainly call the university to verify that it was in fact legit.
Mary Ann Endema has a PHD in chemistry and specializes in synthetic organic chemistry -the microorganisms and biochemical processes in the synthesis of fine organic chemicals including anti-cancer research using flora from the Phillipines. -She has alsowon the TDC Research Foundation Inc. Fellowship Award for Organic Synthesis.
In the UK the viva is the main examination for the PhD. You will not be invited to viva unless the thesis is of a satisfactory standard. Then, if you pass the viva, you have been granted a PhD.
Well, you've mystified me. I have a PhD in chemistry, and this is the first I've ever heard of a "giant ionic and covalent structure". Could you try being a little more specific? I can think of materials that might qualify ... zeolites, for example, which are partly ionic and partly covalent and might form extensive networks ... but these are compounds, not elements.
You can apply for the online PhD online or by a form printed off the internet. Some online Phd's are print-outs but these are generally not reputable. You can now also complete a PhD or Doctorate degree partially or solely online. It should also be noted that most colleges now have online application processes making applying to the school a paperless activity.
Depends on what you mean by "making" lithium. You can refine lithium from a lithium compound, which would be quite difficult. You would have to use a process called electrolysis. Lithium itself is highly reactive and flammable. You should not attempt something like this if you have not completed at least one college-level chemistry class or if you have not consulted a professional chemist or chemistry professor. Actually creating lithium from other elements would require a particle accelerator. You probably would not have access to such resources unless you are doing PhD-level work.
